What we clean in Hanwell

Regular clean, from £49

For a home in daily use, we offer regular cleaning on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly plan, and the discounts run 20%, 15% and 10% in that order. In a terrace off the Uxbridge Road or a 1930s house on the Cuckoo estate, each visit takes in the kitchen and bathroom, the floors and the dusting.

Deep clean, from £179

If your home has not had a professional clean in the last month, you begin with a deep clean. It works through the regular list and then adds skirting boards and blinds, giving your home a more thorough first clean before the regular visits begin.

End of tenancy clean, from £179

When a tenancy ends, our end of tenancy clean covers the empty flat or house, with the inside of the oven, fridge and cupboards included. The rooms need to be clear of furniture and people, and we need the power and water left on.

For an office or other workplace in Hanwell, use our commercial cleaning page to tell us about the space, and we will come back to you with a quote.

Hanwell homes: what to tell us

Bookings are open across W7, from the streets around the Clock Tower to the Cuckoo estate and the houses near the canal locks. Put the number of floors, any alarm code and where a cleaner can park in your booking notes.

More about Hanwell homes and the Census

Hanwell has no ward of its own, so these figures add together Hanwell Broadway and North Hanwell wards. The 2021 Census counted 11,684 households across the two, and 3,283 of them (28.1%) rented privately, below the Ealing borough share of 34.0%. Owners and tenants both book regular cleans, and tenants need an end of tenancy clean on the way out.

Much of Hanwell grew up around the railway. Brunel’s Wharncliffe Viaduct was carrying the Great Western Railway through Hanwell by 1838, and the present Hanwell station, a grade II listed building from 1877, now has Elizabeth line trains. Ealing Council’s appraisal of the Hanwell Village Green conservation area describes late 19th century streets laid out near the station, with detached and semi-detached houses behind modest front gardens, and post-war blocks of flats on Manor Court Road and at the western end of Church Road.

Around the Clock Tower, at the junction of Uxbridge Road and Boston Road, the town centre is mostly Victorian buildings of two to four storeys. On Green Lane, the small terraced and semi-detached houses date from 1887 to 1919 and share a conservation area with the Hanwell Flight, six locks on the Grand Union Canal. The Cuckoo estate, built by the London County Council between 1933 and 1939, is red brick and two storeys high, set out in short terraces and semi-detached pairs with some groups of flats.

Across the two wards, the 2021 Census counted 3,705 households in purpose-built flats, 3,473 in terraced houses and 2,220 in semi-detached ones. When you book, tell us the floors and the stairs: a flat above a shop on the Broadway is a different visit from a ground-floor flat in a low-rise block. Count every bedroom, a loft room too, since the price follows the size of the home. If there is a burglar alarm, give us the code or leave it off, and declare any pets at booking, as our terms ask.

Hanwell cleaning questions

Where can the cleaner park in Hanwell?

That depends on the street, because Ealing Council runs several controlled parking zones in W7. Zone H1, around the station on roads such as Conolly Road and York Avenue, is controlled Monday to Friday from 9am to 10am, 3pm to 4pm and 6pm to 7pm. Zone HTC, the town centre around Boston Road and Montague Avenue, runs Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm. Zone H2 covers Church Road and Cuckoo Lane near Hanwell Zoo, and zone OH takes in Green Lane and St Margarets Road. If you have a visitor permit to hand over, or off-street space, put it in the booking notes.

How much does a clean cost in Hanwell?

From £49 for a regular clean and from £179 for a deep or end of tenancy clean. The figure is set by your bedrooms and bathrooms and by the state of the home; enter yours on our prices page to see it before you commit. Regular bookings then take their weekly, fortnightly or monthly discount.

Do you bring your own cleaning products and equipment?

Yes, every time. The products and the equipment come with your cleaner, vacuum and mops included. If you would rather we used a particular product of yours, call us before the day and we will arrange it.

Can I cancel or move a booking?

Yes, with 24 hours’ notice, by phone or text on 07476 687221 or by email to [email protected]. Moving a clean to a later date with that notice costs nothing. If you are on a fortnightly plan and skip a visit, the four-week gap means the monthly rate applies to the next clean, as our terms explain.

How often can I book a regular clean?

Every week, every two weeks or every four weeks. You can start straight away, or after a deep clean if your home has not had a professional clean in the last month. Our terms count a fortnightly clean as one with no more than three weeks since the last, and a monthly clean as no more than five. We usually suggest weekly for a busy family with young children or pets, and fortnightly for most other homes.

Booking, payment and cancelling

See your price and book online. You pay by card through Stripe: we place a hold for the full price when you book, or 7 days before your clean, and nothing is taken until the clean is done. If you need to cancel or move your clean, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
